Driving Mode Selection allows you to change the way your car performs. You have the power to adjust the drive and how the car responds on the road.
Progressive variable-ratio steering system.
The progressive variable-ratio steering system provides a quick response to driver input at higher speeds, while making driving easier at lower speeds. Now the only variable you have to think about is which route you want to take home.
2.0L turbocharged engine.
This turbo direct injection engine can be powerful and efficient.3 The turbo technology forces cooled air straight into the engine, helping give you increased performance. But you don't have to pop the hood to understand why. A simple step on the gas pedal will do.
Autobahn-tuned sport suspension.
This Autobahn-tuned sport suspension helps take handling to a new level. With firm control, the Golf GTI can stay level in corners and help maintain grip while managing to provide a smooth ride.
3 settings of suspension firmness.
With three settings of suspension firmness to choose from, available DCC® adaptively controls the damper valves of the Golf GTI with a refined control algorithm. Taking input signals from wheel sensors and front and rear acceleration sensors, DCC® adjusts the optimal damping force, selectively applying force to the four wheels individually.
VAQ limited-slip front differential lock system.
The VAQ limited-slip front differential lock system monitors performance indicators like vehicle speed, wheel rotation, and lateral G-forces. This can help eliminate understeer by proactively making adjustments to maintain optimum torque balance, transferring up to 100% of torque to one wheel. Now that's power with brainpower.
Ventilated disc brakes.
The GTI's ventilated disc brakes offer high-performance stopping power. Emblazoned with the GTI logo on the front calipers, you'll see at a quick glace these are GTI performance brakes.
